I went to this office twice to get my teeth worked on. I left this office feeling unwelcomed both times. My first visit was a consult. I knew I had cavities that needed filling. I saw Ashley Baptiste. To my surprise she told me I only needed two fillings. I was pretty sure I needed more than two. She went on to tell me that I needed a deep cleaning since she saw a sign of periodontitis. I didn't know what it was and if it was serious. She didn't really tell me much info. I had to ask. I asked her general questions because I had no clue what it was. It seemed like my questions were making her nervous. So because of that, she didn't want to handle any of cleanings anymore she so referred me to a specialist. The whole office just brushed me off. Weeks later I had a second appointment for a fill. I saw Baptiste again. I saw her assistant first and asked her if Baptiste can take a look at my X-rays again since I know I have more then two cavities. I had to tell them where to look. Baptiste realized that I indeed needed more fillings. It took me saying something for her to see that I needed more fillings?! She was in my mouth and saw my X-rays at my consult appointment. She asked me what I was planning on doing. I told her I will look into getting better dental insurance and try to find a dental office locally since I live in FWB. I also told her that I may come back if I can't find one or get better insurance. After working on my teeth I asked her which teeth I should get filled first. Which cavity is bigger? She got nervous again and told me to ask my future dentist. I told her I may come back but she obviously didn't want me to. I still thanked her for her work and said goodbye to everyone.
Seeing that previous review completely shocks me. I haven't gone to the dentist for awhile and my recent toothache was beginning to hinder my day-to-day activities. I'm new to Pancare and they've shown me nothing but respect. I usually can't afford extensive dental work but Pancare works with me. Although I avoid the dental office my dentist before Dr. Baptiste was very nice. She was engaging, charismatic, and respectful. When I was switched to Dr. Ashley Baptiste's office, it was no different. Before my appointment, there were fellow patients in the waiting area. However, one lady was being unnecessarily rude and disrespectful to the staff. The staff turned a negative situation into a positive and responded in a calm manner. When I went back for my appointment, I met with Dr. Baptiste's assistant Melissa. She took a few x-rays and answered the questions I had. Then Dr. Baptiste came in and did a thorough exam. I didn't have to ask for any X-ray pictures because Dr. Baptiste had already shown me my problem areas. I had further questions and Dr. Baptiste was able to answer all of them in a way that I could understand. She told me in order to fix my toothache, I would need to get a tooth pulled. I was hesitant at first because I'm quite afraid of needles and the dentist. But, I decided to trust her opinion as she assured me everything would go smoothly. She made sure to make me feel comfortable and my extraction appointment went very well. Dr. Baptiste and her assistant Melissa were very gentle throughout the procedure. Their confident demeanor put me at ease. The procedure was pain free and my recovery has been amazing. I feel like I'm back to my old self again. I've told several of my friends and family about Dr. Baptiste's office. If you're in need of an excellent dentist that truly cares about your well being, Dr. Baptiste is the way to go!
I don't recommend this place. Look for another office. They are shady. Personal feelings override customer service. If you have to go don't ask a lot of questions!
The new dentist is terrible took her over half an hour to pull tooth and wouldn't give any pain pills just ibuprofen I think she just came out of school
Couple of days later I got a certified letter in the mail saying they will no longer be my dental provider. What? Seriously? I didn't schedule another appointment with them because I wasn't going back but still. I wasn't an obnoxious patient. I was always early and had manners. This really surprised me. I really believe Baptiste doesn't have confidence in her work and I may have made her feel uncomfortable by asking her to double my teeth.
I've never felt so unwelcomed at a medical/dental office before.
